What We've Been Up To

We've spent the last several weeks studying for exams that we'll be taking in December. For study breaks, we go hiking, cycling, or we take Jet & Kimber Elle to the neighborhood park.

Here is a picture we took on one of our recent hikes. The bridge to Mexico is just on the other side of downtown, so the top half of this picture is Cuidad Juarez, Mexico.

Here are Jet & Kimber Elle playing in Madeline Park, the same park where I grew up playing.

Here's Jay on one of our recent trail-rides above the city. This photo was taken on his birthday.

Jason's 37th Birthday

Jason turned 37 on Friday, November 6th. Auntie Mal & Grandma Tora threw him an amazing party at the Pershing Inn that evening complete with red enchiladas, tacos, and homemade birthday cake.
Jason's cake...made by my step-mom, Tora. I decorated it, but enlisted her assistance with making it.

Halloween Pics

What an amazing evening we had on Halloween. Jet had gone to the store with his Auntie Mal to pick out his costume. Since Kimber Elle wasn't there, he picked out hers as well. Jet was Spiderman & Kimber was a tulip fairy.

We saw old friends from years back and got to meet their children. After the trick or treating was finished, we all met back at Grandpa Mike & Grandma Tora's house for pizza & sat by the fire outside.Jet & Kimber enjoyed trick-or-treating. All of the children met for the Halloween parade at the neighborhood park at 5:15, and then they did a big group trick-or-treat. There were hundreds of children, it was so much fun. Here, Kimber reached up for Jet's hand as they were walking in front of us on our way to the park for the parade. We had to snap off a picture because it was so adorable.

They are looking at a skeleton lawn-ornament as it moves back & forth while they waited in line for their turn at the house to trick-or-treat.

One of the members of the family was smart & brought a red wagon for children to take turns riding in when they got tired. Here, Kimber is riding behind Jet & waiving to the onlookers after leaving a house.
